I'm an atlanta native. Love your site! Sure I've heard about most of this stuff, but sometimes it reminds me of stuff in my backyard that I haven't gotten around to seeing.
ReplyDeleteLove the blog! I am in Fayette County and always looking for interesting places to visit and photograph.
ReplyDeleteThis blog contains some of the best photography of the Atlanta area. I would love to give this link to my out of state clients who have never been to our fine city, as it would help to paint a wonderful picture!
ReplyDeleteFound you in a search for Sawnee Preserve, love your site. It is like a reference book for the area, very well done, great pictures. Will definitely be back. Just when you think you've seen everything within 3 hours, you discover something new, thanks! Susan in Ellijay
ReplyDeleteGreat information, I am excited about my next hike to Raven Cliff Falls per your recommendation
ReplyDeleteThanks for the blog. It is one of my "go to" places for researching walks. I've done several of the walks based on your recommendations.
ReplyDeleteBecause you enjoy falls, try Dukes Creek Falls near Helen off Richard Russell Scenic Byway.
I haver traveled extensively throughout Georgis and taken many photographs, but my travels are paled by Doug's. He has been to places that I have never heard of, and I have lived in Georgia all of my 71 years. Great job Doug, keep the good work up.

Thank you! I have a new favorite blog!
ReplyDeleteJust stumbled across your blog while trying to find more info on McDaniel Farm Park. I'm definitely going to plan trips to some of these parks I've never heard of. If you like McDaniel Farm, I highly recommend the Jones Bridge Parks (the one on the West side of the river has great trails) as well as Simpsonwood, also on the river. Simpsonwood is actually a conference center, but the trails are open to the public and are a nice, natural area for easy hiking/walking. -Norcross resident.
ReplyDeleteLike a few others, I just stumbled upon your blog while doing a search for Tray Mt. I love it. Great info for hikes in the north GA area. Helped me a lot with some research I was doing for hikes in the Helen region. Thanks a bunch! Keep up the great work.
ReplyDeleteI found your blog totally by accident with a google search for Lilburn Greenway. Impressive! I'm a runner and especially love trail runs and think I just stumbled across a gold mine of information in your blog of new places to explore. Thanks!
